Shana Kim is a CSI Certified Construction Documents Technologist with more than 20 years of experience in the architecture and design industry and 15+ years in specification writing. Shana has extensive experience writing and managing the production of construction specifications for both architectural design and full service, multi-discipline architecture, interiors, engineering firms, and construction firms. She has written specifications for a variety of projects including, but not limited to, corporate and spec office, multi-family residential, large mixed-use, airport and aviation facilities, K–12 and higher education, community and fitness centers, and hospitality. She also participated in the City of Chicago Building Department’s modernization of the Chicago Building Code, with a focus on exterior envelope. Shana has been active in the CSI Chicago Chapter since 2008, serving as a Director on both the Chapter Board as well as the CSI Chicago Foundation.
