Jay Ford
Jay joined the Kalin Associates team in 2008 with over 12 years of professional design, project management, construction administration, and specification writing experience. Jay has written specifications for both privately and publicly bid projects of varying complexities and in various regions around the world. Jay has managed the specification process for large and complex projects such as the United States Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan; as well as small local projects like the MIT Lincoln Lab renovation project in Lincoln, MA. In addition to writing specifications for architectural project teams, Jay also works with owners and developers creating and maintaining standard specifications for multi-family and health club projects in regions around the country. Jay has been a member of CSI since 2005 and a member of SCIP since 2008. Jay is a Certified Construction Specifier, LEED Accredited Professional, and has served as President of the Boston Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute for a 2-year term, 2011-2013. As a member of the CSI Boston Chapter, Jay served on the Board of Directors as Chairperson for the Committee of Certification, Professional Development, and Programs. He is also an editor for the CSI Boston Chapter award-winning monthly newsletter, The Parameter.
