New Fall River Trial Court

The new, award-winning trial court at the corner of Borden Way and South Main Street sits in the heart of downtown Fall River, Massachusetts. Each 30,000 sf floor within the five-story building provides space for the Bristol County Superior Court and Fall River District Court. Designed by Finegold Alexander + Associates, the LEED Silver–certified project includes nine courtrooms and a law library, with state-of-the-art security and technology and natural lighting.

The Fall River Trial Court has received six awards for excellence in design, engineering and energy efficiency: 2011 BSA Accessible Design Award; 2011 American Council of Engineering Companies of MA Silver Award in engineering excellence; 2011 Illuminating Engineering Society of North America Section Award; 2010 Energy Star Award; 2008 DCAM Award in Excellence–Study Award; and 2007 AIA Academy of Architecture for Justice Knowledge Community Justice Facility Review.
